How to put NATO/ZULU strap on Kobold Arctic Diver watch

The strap shown in this video is the black nylon ZULU strap that is included with the Arctic Diver. It’s very comfortable, fast drying, and easy to swap. On top of that, it saves your watch! If one spring bar happens to snap off, you won’t lose your watch unless the other one pops off too.

The Kobold Arctic Diver is a serious watch – especially the all black PVD Tactical. That blue second hand just sets it off – beautiful! More info http://www.keepthetime.com/index.php?…

The NATO Strap

A great alternative to a leather watch-strap or bracelet is a Nato strap made from woven nylon. Also known as G-10 straps, they are often considered to be one of the most comfortable straps you can wear. You are likely to find nato straps on dive watches because they fast drying don’t stretch out when wet.

If you see the diagram above, you’ll notice a loop near the buckle – that’s because these straps are designed to help save your watch from a broken spring bar. The strap loops under the case through both spring bars to hopefully prevent losing your watch.

Aside from the comfort and functionality, the best part about Nato style straps: they are ultra affordable! You can pretty much find most colors, sizes and designs for under twenty bucks.

Nato straps are often seen on Fortis, Kobold, Submariners and many other watches.
