"Love this watch! It looks brand new and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!"
WOW!! You found the site, picked out a watch, saw the beautiful pics and great price, explored our blog and videos, checked our social media accounts... and you're still on the fence!?
That's ok, we understand that ordering watches online can be scary. But you're in the right place, so let's work on getting over your fears.
KeepTheTime is an actual company, not a random private seller in a random watch forum, or a random eBayer using someone else's pictures to sell a watch they don't have. Read more about our story here.
Have you heard the statistic that 95% of small businesses fail in their first year? KeepTheTime has survived year one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, and so on. That's a lot of watches bought, sold, and traded since 2008. Dealing luxury timepieces online hasn't been easy (just look at the hoops we have to jump through to get a sale), but we're still here because we love what we do!
Many of our customers are new to watch collecting, but we're not. We have handled, photographed, filmed, bought, sold, traded, repaired, built, packed and shipped thousands of different timepieces over the years - valued under $10 to over $100,000.
Frankly all of that sounds great on paper, but it doesn't matter how many watches you experience, one can never know everything about the vast world of watches, so we're still learning every day. Learning is give and take, and that's why we have created educational watch projects like Caliber Corner - the largest and most respected watch movement information website in the world. That's right, the images and research on that site is from the same folks that you're about to buy a watch from. We don't just sell watches, we know about them too - inside and out.
Our business depends greatly on word-of-mouth testimonials. We work hard to delight our clients, whether it's with watches that are better than described, impressively fast shipping, or the most competitive pricing. The hard work pays off because our amazing customers constantly send us their wristshots and positive feedback. Explore our Wall of Wristshots here. The only thing missing is your wristshot!
Since the beginning of KeepTheTime, we have had a strict policy against using manufacturer's stock photos. That's why every watch you see in our store has been photographed by us in our studio. The watch you see is the watch you will get. This means we get up close and personal with each piece. It also means our inventory is on-hand and ready to ship. Some sellers even go as far as using pictures of watches they don't actually have. We know this is true because we're constantly combating copyright theft of our images and descriptions! Other sellers literally copy and paste our photos and descriptions to sell their watches - we see it almost every day.
It is mind-boggling how long it takes some online stores to ship an order. Like when a $25 tshirt takes over a week to arrive! In the watch world, you may come across sellers who post stock photos or reuse old pictures they took of a watch they sold 5 years ago, convince you to buy, get your money, then they go and source the watch. This is why some sites take days or weeks before you get a shipping notification. At KeepTheTime, we are not only the fastest shippers in the watch industry, but some say we're some of the fastest in all of eCommerce. With our overnight delivery option, we can get your watch on your wrist by the next morning. Plain and simple, we're fast.
Your watch won't be rolling around in a box. KeepTheTime has been called the "Brinks truck of shipping watches". That is because all of our watches are exclusively packed and shipped by trained watch geeks who are meticulous and borderline obsessive compulsive. On top of that, we save and reuse as much packing material as we can from our suppliers and stuff we buy online. We also use eco friendly products from recycled paper to biodegradable peanuts. This isn't just to get attention or be trendy, we actually care about the environment and creating less waste.
It's so exciting to finally place an order for a watch online, but then comes the waiting. We hate waiting too, so we want your wait to suck less than usual. That's why we strive to get you a tracking number within 24 hours, and in most cases your watch will actually be shipped in less time than that. What you do with that information is up to you - refreshing the tracking page 20 times per day until the watch is on your wrist is totally acceptable.
Still not convinced? We get it. Buying luxury watches online isn't for everyone. Thank you for your time, please check the site often for beautiful timepiece imagery, videos and interesting watch articles.
