Not all bronze watches are created equal. Some of the affordable bronzinos are actually bronze plated over steel. The Spinnaker Tesei is built from solid CuSn8 bronze. This piece is perfect for playing with the patina and making it your own.

From diving helmets to propellers and anchors, the ability of bronze to withstand the pressures of the corrosive chemistry found in sea water mark it as a material superbly positioned for a hard wearing dive watch. Bronze is a material with character. In time through the various journeys of ownership, each Tesei Bronze timepiece will obtain and colour itself in a remarkable patina on the surface of the case. This superficial layer of copper oxide protects it from the elements and the structural integrity of the bronze throughout its lifetime. –Spinnaker
