Vintage Patek Philippe & Cie pocket watch. The Patek Philippe company we know today was officially known as Patek Philippe & Cie as far back as 1851 when French watchmaker Jean-Adrien Philippe joined the company. Interestingly enough, in 1901 the name became “Ancienne Manufacture d’Horlogerie Patek Philippe & Cie, S.A.” …thankfully someone had enough sense to shorten it again.
