In Spinnaker’s Own Words:
Owing to it’s unique properties as a marine grade alloy, bronze has long been associated and used in a host of nautical engineered applications. From diving helmets to propellers and anchors, the ability of bronze to withstand the pressures of the corrosive chemistry found in sea water mark it as a material superbly positioned for a hard wearing dive watch. Bronze is a material with character. In time through the various journeys of ownership, each Tesei Bronze timepiece will obtain and colour itself in a remarkable patina on the surface of the case. This superficial layer of copper oxide protects it from the elements and the structural integrity of the bronze throughout its lifetime. –Spinnaker
