One of the most desirable Seiko watches ever made is the Seiko Sportura SLQ007 (and its brother the SLQ009). This piece is becoming more and more of a rarity, and the ones that do pop up are usually in need of an expensive service that can only be performed by Seiko in Japan. This example is not perfect cosmetically, but it is perfect mechanically. That’s because it just got back from getting overhauled (2/23) with a brand new capacitor. Copies of the service records will be included (some personal information may be blacked out). Seiko does not refinish these pieces for fear of polishing over the text on the case/dial (the case is the dial). Notice how this piece still has the text intact – another attribute that is becoming harder to find. This piece is missing some links, but it has the original signed and dated warranty card from 2000 (also rare).

Pro Tip: This is the ultimate Seiko grail, but if you want one, DO NOT take a risk buying one that will likely need serviced. Many of these pieces are at the end of their battery capacity and even if they are running when you get it, it may not be for long. A new battery starts at almost $1,000 USD and takes at least 6 months. KTT did the work for you and sent this piece to Japan for a complete service.

Condition: Good to very good cosmetically. Like new mechanically. There are some scratches and dings in the case and bracelet. The text on the case/dial is still in tact. Color of the chronograph hands is still vibrant. The bracelet is sized to fit no more than a 7″ wrist with no extra links. The bracelet is not stretched and the clasp is secure. The crystals are excellent. The crown screws in and unscrews as it should. The box has a broken hinge.
