This vintage Elgin pocket watch recently celebrated its 100th birthday! It is in nice shape for a timepiece from 1919. It comes in an open-face “20 years” gold-filled case by Star Watch Case Company (S.W.C.Co.) with a coin edge. Unlike many of the “Assembled in USA” watches of today, this timepiece really was Made in America.

Condition: Running condition. The crown winds the movement smoothly. The finish is wearing through to the metal on parts of the case. The front bezel and back cover screw on as they should to create a smooth case. The dial is clean with no cracking. The plastic crystal is very good overall with exception to a flaw on the edge around 11:00. There are watchmaker’s service notes engraved on the inside of the cover and on the movement. This piece has not been polished or serviced by us.
