Seiko just launched three new Prospex Alpinist watches for 2021. All modern re-interpretations with Seiko caliber 6R35 autos inside – that means 70 hours power reserve.
Shared characteristics are as follows: 38mm diameter stainless steel case, 12.9mm tall, curved sapphire crystal with AR treatment, exhibition caseback, 200m water resistant, khaki hands and markers, date at 3:00, Prospex X logo on the dial, priced from $725 – 750 USD. Note: Some sites are putting these at 39mm, but Seiko has the specs at 38mm.
Differences are:
- SPB241 – Cream/eggshell dial on a bracelet
- SPB243 – Grey/brown dial on a bracelet
- SPB245 – Green dial with a horse leather strap
These will be available for purchase in August 2021, not in limited quantities. The Alpinist drop also included this limited edition 1959 vintage reissue.
