Yellow Breitling:
Aside from his Sub, Chef Ramsay has also famously sports a yellow dial Breitling on Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. Despite what many people think, the Breitling is a Cockpit Chronograph model (ref: A30012), not a Chronomat.
What’s the difference?
The Breitling Cockpit has a smaller diameter than the Chronomat. It is thinner than the Chronomat, with a smaller lug-width as well. The date on the Cockpit is between 4:00 and 5:00, and on the Chronomat it is at 3:00. The movement in the Cockpit is a Breitling 30 aka ETA caliber 2892-A2 which is smaller than the Breitling 13 aka ETA/Valjoux 7750 in the Chronomat.
Gordon Ramsay Yellow:
The yellow Breitling is the watch Chef Ramsay has worn the most over the years, so much so that the yellow is sometimes referred to as “Gordon Ramsay Yellow”.
