“Jumping Ship” The Zinex Nitrox Review

Zinex - Nitrox Dive Watch - Jumping Ship!

I have had some experience with the Zinex Company and find their products, well nicely priced. Getting what you pay for in a watch is what it is all about. The new Zinex Nitrox Diver is a no Frills, strong cased dive watch for a good price. German DIN tested and water resistant to 1650 feet it makes great $cents$ at $995.00 Check out the skinny- ETA 2824 making no bones about it, big crown and case with metal and rubber strap. Nice lum and good color combos make it a nice pick up. KTTB

“Jumping Ship” The Doxa Review!

doxa_1000t_orange_4

Doxa dive watches are regarded as “the” dive watch amoungst collectors. This review is checking the salt on the Doxa 1000T. To start, the traditional rice bracelet is appealing, untill you have worn the newer model styles. That aside the watch is solid, with special props for the bezel and traditional color Orange dial. Movement is nothing to write about ETA 2824, done to death, solid, boring really. A nice watch if you can grab one pre-owned and great beater watch for $1500-$1900 being tops for this piece, check the sites, let someone else take the hit initially.
Things to write home about:
1) Bezel
2) Water resistance
3) Old school- dial

Things to moan about:
1) Same movement in everything
2) Bracelet, original does not mean good
3) Price is on the high side for movement, and execution
4) Hate to break it to ya, but orange is a summer watch and carries some cheese appeal

7 out of 10 grade. KTTB

If you love watches you probably have been drawn to or coveted a dive watch. You are not alone many a non-diver falls for the rugged look and the appeal of water resistance to maxium depths stirs something in a man’s loins.

Dive watches now make up a great deal of the sport watch market. In our next series we will explore the Dive watches in the industry and what makes them tick! First up for review will be the Doxa 1000T Diver. Stay tuned. KTTB
